WHAT ARE FOAM ROLLERS USED FOR?

Foam rollers are used for myofascial release, muscular flexibility and dynamic strengthening. Foam roller exercises enhance balance reactions, body awareness, muscle re-education and core stability

What is myofascial release?

MYOFASCIAL derives from Latin words "myo" muscle, and "fascia" band. Myofascial release eases tension from the bands of connecting tissue/fascia. Myofascial release frees constrictions/blockages in the fascia and alleviates connective tissue scarring or injury.

BASICALLY, "the stick" targets smaller muscles while the foam roller provides massage therapy for bigger muscles.
